Saturday, April 21, 2012 The Youth Ambassador trip to Okayama in June is coming together. At this time, most activities in Okayama have been determined, including a 3 night homestay with families. We still will accept qualified high school youth applicants. Of course no Japanese language skills are required, but a spirit of the challenge of going to new placess and becoming friends with new people certainly is.
Also while in Japan, we will visit Hiroshima/Miyajima, Kyoto and Osaka (Osaka has the reputation for wonderful food!).
We also have been invited to the San Francisco Consul General of Japan’s office for a pre-trip briefing, which should be interesting. The travel will begin June 19 and return in the evening of June 28. If you have questions, please send an email to the youth coordinator and secretary. [click here]

Thursday, April 14, 2011 Due to concerns based on the tragic events of March 2011 in Northeast Japan, we have postponed the June 2011 Youth Ambassador trip to Japan until late Spring 2012. Thanks to all who worked hard to qualify for the trip and we are hoping next year will see some of you with us.
