Greetings

Since 1957, citizens of the San José area have come together to celebrate friendship between San José and Okayama, Japan. This web site supports the current program.

In late 2008, the former Okayama Committee of Pacific Neighbors, Inc., an umbrella organization subset, has taken the step to become a stand-alone organization. While we share the values and the relationships developed over 51 years, we are taking steps to expand our relationships within the San Francisco Bay Area sister city groups and indeed, those of Northern California. We hope to leverage “our” common relationship with Japan to make better programs and share common rewards.

We are expressly interested in generating new interest in our youth through education and presentation as well as actively supporting student exchange. We want our youth to share the rich possibilities that come through the Sister City Program.

The San José-Okayama Sister City Organization is incorporating as a community service non-profit organization and we welcome you to join our efforts and support out programs.

So Join Us in the program.
